Outside Online recently asked the question, "best trekking poles?" Answer: Exped Explorer 130.
We love the conclusion, but please note that the tester got the weight wrong in this review. He says each pole weighs 4.5 ounces when the true weight of each Explorer 130 is 7.2 ounces. This is still a very lightweight pole, but his stated weight is off the charts! We'll get to work on hitting that number...someday...maybe...
Additionally, the collapsed length of the Explorer 130 is actually 20.5." The 19.3" stated in the review is the collapsed length of the Explorer 120.
Also note that the Explorer series of poles' primary feature is their extremely small packed size. For our lightest poles take a look at the Alpine series.
